Privacy Policy

The short version: Images are processed on your device. Pluckr uses a backend for Google account verification, conversion limits, and paid access. This policy describes the data sent to Google, Convex, and Lemon Squeezy and how to delete your account.
What Pluckr does
Pluckr extracts images from the Google Doc you open, then resizes, compresses, and converts them on your device. Google sign-in is required. The first 50 completed conversion batches are free; optional paid access removes that limit.
Google Docs access
Pluckr requests documents.readonly, which permits reading your Google Docs. Pluckr uses it to fetch the open document when the panel opens or you scan. The Google Docs API response may contain document content; Pluckr extracts image references and the title to name downloads, without uploading document content or images to our backend. Page extraction may also read image URLs from the active Doc. We do not edit, create, or delete your Google documents.
Account and authentication data
Chrome manages your Google OAuth access token. The extension uses it for Google API requests and temporarily caches token-validity information in Chrome session storage. It sends the token over HTTPS to our Convex backend to verify your account with Google. Our application does not intentionally log tokens or save them in the account database. We store your stable Google account ID, completed conversion-batch count, payment status, and, after a purchase, the Lemon Squeezy order ID. We use these fields to manage the free allowance, paid access, and support. We do not request your Google password, profile name, or email address.
Payments and service providers
Convex hosts our account database and server functions. If you choose to upgrade, your Google account ID is included in the Lemon Squeezy checkout link so the purchase can be matched to your Pluckr account. Lemon Squeezy collects checkout and billing details under its own policy; Pluckr stores the order ID and paid status, not payment-card details. Google receives requests for sign-in, document images, token validation, and revocation. These transfers support the features described here; we do not sell user data or use it for advertising.
Local storage and processing
Images and conversion results remain in browser memory during processing and are cleared when the panel closes or you disconnect. Downloads remain on your computer until you delete them. Chrome local/session storage holds panel state, preferences where applicable, the version of the privacy notice you accepted, and temporary authentication-validation state. Removing the extension clears its local storage but does not delete your backend account.
Website and infrastructure
The website is hosted on Vercel and loads design resources from Webflow/CDN providers. Visiting it sends ordinary network information such as your IP address, user agent, and requested URLs to those providers. Infrastructure providers may retain operational logs under their own policies. Pluckr does not add advertising or behavioral analytics to the extension. Conversion counts are account usage records, not anonymous analytics.
Retention and deletion
We retain your Pluckr account record while you use the service, until you delete it. In the signed-in extension, select Delete account and confirm to remove your Google account ID, conversion count, payment status, and saved order ID from the active account database. Deletion also removes your saved paid entitlement; contact support with your purchase receipt if you later need help restoring access. Close other Pluckr panels first. Signing in again creates a new account record. Deletion does not remove downloaded files or records held independently by Google or Lemon Squeezy. Their billing, legal, operational-log, and backup retention rules may still apply. Contact support@docpluckr.com for account-data access, correction, or deletion assistance if you cannot sign in.
Disconnecting Google
Disconnect clears local authentication state and attempts to revoke Pluckr’s Google access. If revocation cannot be confirmed, the app directs you to Google Account permissions to remove access manually. Revoking access or uninstalling does not delete your Pluckr account record; use Delete account or contact support for that.
Google API Services and Limited Use
Pluckr’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the disclosed image-extraction, account-access, and payment features. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use document content to train AI models.
Changes and contact
We update this policy when our practices change and request acknowledgment in the extension before a material new use of Google account data. For questions or data requests, email support@docpluckr.com. Our Terms of Use also apply.
